  • Happy, Very Very Happy!
    Wednesday, September 17, 2008

If the first 3 months of this year were the happiest moments of my life, they are now second to the last one week. While I must admit to having spent considerable time worrying over how this would all turn out, I guess my worries are all uncalled for.

Of course, there could only be one person in this world who could make me feel this way. 4 months apart seemed to have passed in a flash, and we looked back together at the memories we shared as if it were only yesterday. Every speck of the past seemed to piece together, and being together just seemed so natural it felt more like an inborn habit.

Of course, the main objective of the trip was to meet the parents, and so we did. I did learn a lot about the Chinese cultures and traditions during this trip, which would probably help a lot in my future dealings in the region. The city of Wuhan is really like Guangzhou 10 years ago, so laden with opportunity.

Getting back to 6 days of simple living also cleansed my internal system completely. Oh how I love this kind of a healthy lifestyle. And I must say, the food there is really fresh, simply because everything we eat is of local produce – fish, eggs, meat, vegetables and rice. Oh, and the fish is really, really good. Have never tasted better fish in my life.

So, the future, our future is pretty much laid. I have found the person I am so very determined to spend the rest of my life with. Now it is my turn to work hard to make that future possible!
