Mind and Body

In a long long time, I have not paced my life ina very healthy fashion, much owed to the rather busy schedule that has become some sort of a norm. Today, I made the extreme attempt to skip my sleep and last a few more hours to wake up for a morning jog at 6am (the sun is already hanging high up in the sky at this time, quite inhuman, I know).
The breath of fresh cool air, the sight of old men and women doing the morning exercise reminds me of the very healthy lifestyle I once had back in my school days (when I was 16 and 17). The regular morning runs and intensive kayaking sessions then was such a lifestyle, and such is a lifestyle that reminds us of the simple joys in keeping our body healthy.
I wonder how long I will be able to keep this up, before the next wave of errands hit me again. Nevertheless, I have realized what truth there may be in the many written text of how our mind responds to our body, and vice versa.
If we feel negative and our mind is constantly ridden with a myriad of weird thoughts, our body will fall sick easily. If we feel good, take it easy and try less to fight what will eventually become of destiny, our bodies are generally more well off and function more efficiently.
The power of the mind, and the power of physical suggestion are two things I have once again relived today.
