  • One day break!
    Sunday, May 03, 2009

For as long as I can remember, I have not had a good day’s break. So on the 3 days of PH (thanks to labour day), I decided to reward myself with a little tour of Beijing.

Here, I would also like to go public with my relationship, since I think it is time. Got a great GF here in Beijing, who takes real good care of me and is smart in many ways too. Thanks to her, Huijie and myself had a good time walking all over the city, till our legs ached, all in the name of good fun.

    Pictures of our little tour…

    Something from my job

I seldom make a post about my recent career endeavours, but I think this is worth writing about. During one of my recent seminars at the outskirts of Beijing, I encountered this little village, which houses a whole lot of student-founded businesses.

The university campus lies side by side with a little settlement, and with only housing and a school, the settlement soon became a little trade town for the university students. With their creativity and little savings, a good portion of students managed to rent shops and start their own little businesses, earning between 4 to 6k RMB per month, much more than that of a fresh grad in Beijing.

Marvelous fellas, let’s take a look at the pictures!

    Best Massage

Ok I know I have not posted anything for a long time, thanks to my schedule, which never seems to leave me a break, except perhaps the few wee hours of the morning. So yes, here is an account of a very interesting experience I had, one I would term as the “best massage” I have ever had in my life.

Massage parlors have been pretty much a norm in my life, at least for the recent years. However, what I normally get is a simple massage and a very posh environment, for a pretty hefty price. This place is different. The place is pretty lousy, and when I went there, which was already 1am, the whole bath area was closed… sadly ( I really wanted a chance to cleanse my sweat glands).

So I proceeded straight for the massage, plus this fire-bottle thing, a total of 381 RMB. Well worth the money, although my back still leaves marks from the previous session.

Post the session, I had the best sleep I ever had in months, and of course, it felt as if my whole body was cleansed. It’s a pricy hobby, but I guess once a month will do my body some good. Now, some disgusting pictures…
