Almost 5 months into this job, everything seems to get clearer by the day. The choice of foregoing everything back home and revert back to a salaried worker is not one I will ever regret, not just for the exposure given, but also for the opportunity.

As I carefully tread my way in this organization, under the cover of my friend and boss, personalities and systems unfold themselves in an uncanny, yet intriguing manner. Allies and enemies seem to switch places almost instantly, as we play a game of chess where nobody sees the entirety of the board.

The camps are built, and the ball is ready to roll. Perhaps it is at this point where I find myself a little lost, or should I say, hesitant. I am no doubt in the camp of the capable and upcoming, but is this truly the way of the game in this organization? Past examples have only shown one thing – it is not those who work who will get the credit, but those will tickle the balls of the big boss up there.

Anyhows, I believe my own strategy will hatch by the end of today. My brain only tweaks at night…

Some pictures of cosmopolitan Shanghai, where I spent the last week.
